Intense
Pulse Light (IPL) technology is a
non-invasive procedure that generates
and permanent reduction in hair growth.
Based on the same technology that
is used to treat port wine stains
and other birthmarks, IPL is the first
photoepilation procedure proven to
treat unwanted hair safely and effectively
on most skin types.
IPL Utilized highly controlled flashes
of light that selectively targts the
hair follicle below the surface of
the skin. The absorbed light heats
and ultimately destroys or damages
the re-growth potential of the follicle,
without damaging the surrounding skin
tissue. This process makes IPL an
effective method of hair removal for
most skin types including dark-skinned
individuals and those of Black, Hispanic
or Asian descent. The number of treatments
required is directly related to the
individuals hair and skin type.
